Scott and Kat had their baby.

I'm so happy for them!

There's something wrong with me: I saw the pictures this morning and I got tears in my eyes.

Scott and Kat made a baby.

To date, I've made a few websites. Some meals and cakes. A few friends. I've never made anything quite that cool.

I've started worrying that I'll be in a high risk unfertile part of my life when I finally am able to think about having kids. And there's nothing I can do about that, unless I want to be the equivalent of a single mother.

I find it frustrating when I cannot make decisions for myself; when I have to wait for others to make a decision that affects my life so drastically. And I cannot help them make it.

It's a wonder that babies are ever born.

Isn't Max adorable?! What a miracle! I am so thrilled for Scott and Kat. Such an exciting adventure for them!

That being said, you need to be 100% ready to be a parent and - honestly - women that do it alone are my heroes. Being a mother is about 1000 times harder than the most challenging job I ever had. The rewards are also 1000 times greater, but I don't know if I would be alive to reap them if I didn't have a supportive partner.

You'll know when your time comes. Maybe it already has. Whatever choices you make will be the right choices for you. You are strong and intelligent and will be a wonderful mother when you do enter that stage in your life.
